I'm a Mac user so Rfactor and GP4 are out of the question, and I'm not putting Windows on my Mac either. I need it for work, so it's a big no no.

Since I live out of a suitcase and travel the world, I usually just game on my PSP. I only play car games and I'm a bit starved of my F1 action.F1 2006 is too old now. The novelty of winning a championship with Ide in a modified Arrows called Super Mario Aguri Bros. is over.

I checked the codemaster website about this game. I will get it. Since I'm in china I'll probably not support it properly.

Anybody else excited about this game? Anyone else here play F1 games? What's your game?

For me as a TV fan of F1 and I have no real experience driving an F1 car I'm all about Arcade racers, and I'm really fond of the first few F1 games on the PS1 as it had Murray Walker blabbin' on about something. I just want to pretend I'm an F1 driver and drive fast!

So here's hoping the PSP gets some good attention, and not some rubbish port like the latest Need for speed games, that look and play cheap and horrible.

Ferrari are on course to bring their pitstop light system back into action this year, the team have confirmed, after making modifications to prevent a repeat of the dramas they suffered in 2008.

The Maranello outfit opted to use a more traditional lollipop system in the final three races of last season after a mistake in the Singapore Grand Prix resulted in Felipe Massa being released from his pitstop while the fuel hose was still attached.

It is understood that Ferrari's light system had been switched to manual mode during the safety car period in Singapore - which meant Massa's pitstop release was handled directly by a member of the pit crew rather than when the fuel hose had been released. That blunder cost Massa valuable points at a time when he was locked in a tight battle with Lewis Hamilton for the championship. In the end, he lost out on the crown by just one point. At the time, Ferrari said they retained faith that the light system was better than using a lollipop – but felt it would be better for the pit crew to revert to a more traditional setup.

Team principal Stefano Domenicali said after taking the decision to rest the light system: "In this moment we need tranquillity and therefore we prefer to go back to the old system."

Following the season, Ferrari conducted a full analysis of what went wrong in their pitstops this year and, following procedural and software changes, they are now confident that they have put in place failsafe systems that will prevent a car being released early.

A Ferrari spokesman said: "We can confirm our plan is to use the pit light system again. We will test the modifications soon and then see how we progress from there."

Ferrari's team manager Luca Baldisserri told Italian newspaper La Stampa that the team were confident they had eradicated any problems with their pitstop lights.

"We've analysed the mistakes made in 2008 and we've improved the system," he said. "An electronic program will prevent the car from leaving when the fuel hose is still attached."

It's cost them a Championship.

Alonso and his family were in the process of taking off around 6pm on Sunday when the private jet touched wings with another plane and crashed off the runway.

Alonso, his wife Raquel Del Rosario, his brother-in-law Marta Del Rosario and the pilot Alberto Fernandez were all unhurt in the accident.

The two-times world champion was in Kenya for a New Year's Eve party being hosted by Renault boss Flavio Briatore.

Alonso, who has two years still to run on his contact with Renault, has long been linked with a move away from the team to join up with Ferrari.

Initially touted as a replacement for Felipe Massa, it has now been reported that Alonso could replace 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen at the Italian team, after the Finn struggled last season, winning just two Grands Prix and finishing third in the drivers' championship.

"That Fernando has always had an interest to drive for Ferrari is not a secret," Alonso's manager has said.

"What can I say though? 2010 is far away. It is too soon to speak about."

I lived in Korea last year (Dynamic Busan), and I remember reading ages ago that South Korea have secured the rights to host a GP. I thought it would be 2009, but maybe F1racing said 2010.

Is this for real? Nobody in that country really follows F1 (Any Koreans here? Where were you when I was there?), and the two times I caught it on TV the guys who hosted it, had a picture of an F3 or formula nippon car behind them. I swear I tried to watch it every weekend, but it was never on live, so I had to settle for F1-live's live feed :(

Also since my understanding is that Daimler Christler owns parts of Hyunday who just merged with KIA probably won't jump in, and Daewoo are owned by GM who right now have other problems beside not fielding an F1 team.

Apparantly LG have now fully commited to the F1 cause.

Other then that I don't see why F1 would go there, any news on this? as good as an Idea to have some Asian tracks, I think one in India will do, and focus more on bringing back some North American races.

What's the opinion here? Anybody know more things about this Korean GP?

That is the claim of a Spanish newspaper, following reports from Italy that the former champion has now penned a deal to race with the famous Maranello-based team in 2011.

Diario AS said Ferrari were prepared to replace Kimi Raikkonen but Alonso put a stop to the deal because it would have left Renault in the lurch less than three months from the start of the 2009 season. "In short, the Italian team's sudden interest came too late for Fernando," AS said.

Eccentric Dr Harold Carr’s nephews and nieces were stunned to find the world’s most expensive motor in the crumbling lock-up. The dust-covered 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante is one of only 17 ever built. Dr Carr, who never married, bought the car in 1955 for £895. The tax disc on it ran out in 1960 when it had done just 26,284 miles. It is to be sold by auctioneers Bonhams with a £3million reserve, but may fetch double.

One of Dr Carr’s nephews said: “We knew he had old cars, but can’t believe this.” Dr Carr, an ex-surgeon from Gosforth, Newcastle, who died at 89, also left an Aston Martin and E-Type Jag. A few Bugatti fans knew about his Atalante but kept it secret.
