Monza GP2 race 1 winner (spoiler)
Alex Rossi!

He passed Vandoorn, with about 4 or 5 laps left.

I Just caught the end of the podium ceremonies, but is was cool to see the American flag displayed in the center on the Monza podium.

With Alexander Rossi and Team Haas working hard, we may see more American flag ceremonies in the F1 future (I hope, too)!

Great win today for the California kid. I think Michael Andretti's only podium finish in 1993, also at Monza, was the last time an American was on an F1 podium.

For the American national anthem to be played after a Grand Prix we have to go back thru sands of time to the sand dunes at Zandvoort, 1978, when Michael's Papito won the Dutch Grand Prix.

The two Americans to win F1 title celebrated, if that word can be used, at Monza in tragic circumstances.

The aerial shots today during quali were incredibly chilling, especially when the old banking could be seen.

Monza sempre.

Yes, too long! Our national anthem begins, "Jose, can you? Si!" We hear it everywhere now.

I've got a long list of cheap-shot alternative tunes to suggest, but won't post them here out of respect for our American friends. ;-)

Well, we don't take offense to cheap-shots at our political regime. That's just politics. Anything else and we just consider the source. ;D

what a cool place. I did manage to walk the old banking on Thursday. It's hard to imagine the speeds they went around there, with no seat belts or roll protection!
