Snetterton Classic racing
I had an outing to Snetterton a couple of weeks ago with our local camera club to watch some classic and 'future classic' racing:

Cameras and Cars. What a co-incidence, or was it? Very nice album. You had good light.

Nasir

Have a friend in Canada who is selling his classic Alfa race cars - 205 GTA, 205 GTV and a 2000 Berlina lightweight - all with current racing pedigree (i.e some accident damage)

I'll try and get some pictures

Great pictures

I really enjoy mixed class historic racing - like it used to be in the old trans-am days

It's great to watch a Mini or 911 tucked under the rear bumper of a Mustang and Camaro

This is on this weekend

Love the big American metal from the late 60s & 70s. Dodge Challenger & the Boss Mustang. Remember Frank Gardner, Brian Muir and Ian Geoghegan hustling Mustangs and Camaros at Brands Hatch? These are one of my first images of Motorsports from days gone by................

RE: Snetterton Classic racing
There was one great race-long battle between a Galaxy, a Marcos and an √Član 26R. The Yank metal pulled away like a rocket on the straights, the 26R squirmed back round every bend (while the Galaxy looked like it was going to roll), and the Marcos combined the approaches and snapped away at both sets of heels throughout while looking devastatingly cool.

The day started cool and damp, but the sun came out later, low and autumnal.

Regards,
Mark

Great description. I wonder if there was much strain on the wooden frame of the Marcos after the race.

It's amazing how much you can improve the handling of a wood framed car by boring out the frame and inserting a tube filled with expanding foam ... not that I have first hand knowledge of such illegal modifications Cool
