RE: The real reason Seb left RBR
This is why Americans hate Lawyers. Blame the Lawyers who bring about these frivolous lawsuits in order to collect millions. I get about 5 postcards a year with information about a class action lawsuit against some company that I had formerly used their services. I have to do nothing and will be receiving compensation at a later date. About a year later, I receive a check for US$0.09 or some such ridiculous amount. The lawyers get their millions first, then distribute the rest among those who could care less about the claim. It takes more time and trouble to go to the website and register to opt out of the lawsuit than it does to throw the postcard in the trash.

I think, for the better good of F1weekly, you should make the claim and let us know how it goes.

Okay, I will post any news/results here in this thread.

"I, Neonzapper (A.K.A. Michael Humphreys), made retail purchases of Red Bull products in the United States between January 1, 2002 and October 3, 2014 (the “NOTICE DATE”), and may be entitled to a payment from a class action settlement, but did not get wings."

Brilliant! I assume if the legal fees are more then the fund you actually have to pay them?

Ah. Mightn't have thought of that. Seems fair enough though. Lawyers, like hyenas, have cubs to support.

RE: The real reason Seb left RBR
It's been one year since I signed up for the settlement. I have a couple of bumps on my back, but still no wings, therefore I'm anxiously awaiting my Red Bull Energy Drink refund.

"IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Court held a Final Approval Hearing on May 1, 2015 and approved the Settlement however two appeals were filed shortly thereafter. On September 30, 2015, the final appeal was dismissed and the Settlement became Effective. Pursuant to the terms of the Settlement, distribution of settlement benefits shall begin within 150 days after the Effective Date. Please check this website periodically for further updates."

So, on the 26th February 2016 they start to send them out, one a week.

RE: The real reason Seb left RBR
Woo Hooo!!!!! I just received US $4.25 as my class action lawsuit settlement! I'd say that was worth all the time to read everything, fill out forms, and open my Email as the updates rolled in. And it only took 1 year 4 months and 14 days!

How should I celebrate with my newly found fortune?

RE: The real reason Seb left RBR
You should, by all rights, use this cash to put right the injustice you suffered.

That should just about cover the cost of these:

RE: The real reason Seb left RBR
Obviously you should blow it all on Red Bull. You never know when the next class action lawsuit might arise. Best to invest now.

RE: The real reason Seb left RBR
Yaaay, you gave me a thought (it happens): Perhaps a Red Bull Lawyer could have argued that Red Bull was referring to the "After Life". It would have been up to the Plaintiff's to disprove that claim.

I can't afford them. They cost US $5.40.

Ah!, a much better idea. One 12 oz. drink is now only $1.63 more than before the lawsuit was implemented.
