Yep 50 / 50 voting block on the Board isn't good idea, particularly when one 50% is peed off (apparently because of Ron) and wants to sell

Another non-answer

Anyone want to buy a minichamps collection of 1:43 McLaren car models from MP 4 until the 2013 car

Can also throw in a small doll of Ron Dennis for those who want to stick pins in things

Joe S doesn't agree with you: http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2014/12/0...t-mclaren/

Neither do I - this is a tough business in exceptionally tough times, not some sort of resthome for nice blokes. F1 history is littered with similar events: Frank Williams, darling of the misty-eyed British fan, being a case in sharp point.

But you'd expect me to say that, and I don't want to disappoint Cool

My source with inside information agrees with Mr Saward - it is all about the traditional owners regaining control from some apparently antagonistic part owners

I think McLaren is waiting for LCH to finalize his contract with Mercedes...Ron Dennis would prefer LCH over El Machismo!!
LCH said he wants to emulate Senna in 2015 and that would include a Honda powered McLaren...Bravo Bravo Bravo!

All they have done is called a press conference, this may only be for Ron to show off his new suit.

enson Button secures McLaren seat alongside Fernando Alonso

By Andrew Benson
Chief F1 writer
Jenson Button is to partner Fernando Alonso at McLaren next season.
The team are to announce their driver line-up at a news conference at their factory in Surrey on Thursday.
But BBC Sport has learned they have decided to retain Button after weeks of leaning towards Kevin Magnussen.
Button, the 34-year-old 2009 world champion, will continue into a 16th season and has his wish granted to test himself against the man widely regarded as the best in F1. McLaren signed Alonso some weeks ago, but had been vacillating over the identity of his team-mate.

If you can't get the news then make it up

RE: McLaren
This has the potential to be OK for a development year, as long as they're both developing the car in the same direction. We don't need Carbon Industries on one and Brembo on the other, thanks very much...

There's also some potential for jolly repartee between Fred and JB: I suspect they'll get on OK, for a year of struggling in the midfield at least.

Mark

Not sure that I'm too happy about Rat Fink being back at McLaren. I shall order the Button car for 2015

RE: McLaren
I am hatching a plan whereby Honda is 50hp up on Merc before ERS. This plan will also include almost faultless reliability and economy such that they can run an entire weekend on 100kgs of fuel.

I also plan that 2015 will be a repeat of Jenson's 2011 season via-a-vis his team mate.

Meh - water under a bridge in F1 terms. Short memories, bribed bribery trials, schematics by text and moveable wings.

Right on the money!

Formula One’s boss Bernie Ecclestone says that Bahrain’s Mumtalakat sovereign wealth fund has sold a 50% stake in the McLaren team to its chief executive Ron Dennis.

“[Mumtalakat] are nothing more to do with the race company any more,” said Mr Ecclestone. “They have sold the shares to Ron. He has got to pay for them by a certain date. If he doesn’t pay he will obviously take them back but at the moment Ron would own the company.”

Ron Dennis points finger of blame on Lewis Hamilton's immaturity for 2007 discord between McLaren and Fernando Alonso, and favors the maturity of both 2015 drivers. I can't say Hamilton was the problem, but I do agree Hamilton has been immature.

Ron is never a problem. I guess Kimi was a bit immature when he partied for McLaren
