RE: Zandvoort Historic Grand Prix 2014 Friday report
Speaking of Zandvoort- I recently owned a 1983 Ferrari originally purchased by Hans Hugenholtz, Jr. and his signature as the original owner insured a small margin of profit. He might be racing this weekend. The Hugenhotzbocht corner where race control is located was named for his father.

That was a nice video, Louis. Interestingly, it started out with a plethora of Porsches and happens to be exactly 9:11 minutes long. I once owned a 1970 911 too, but never raced it. My favorite Porsche is the 904 (silver no. 107 @ 6:03/9:11).

If you can, please post more videos and pictures, too. Have fun- wish I were there!

Yeah, sorry for favouring the Porsches. I own a 944S. I will film again tomorrow and will post my results later! Thanks for your compliments!

Do you know that you can drive on the old Nürburgring? Only a few hours drive from Amsterdam!

Never apologize for favoring a marque. Porsches are fantastic automobiles and your 944S is no exception. I wouldn't mind owning one myself.

I wish I lived close enough to have a weekend drive on the Ring.

Driving on the Ring is fantastic and I will go there last weekend of September. We have an active Porsche 944 community in Holland and that weekend we will go on a 3 day tour through the Eifel region of Germany. On the Sunday we will go to and drive on the "Nordschleiffe" old Nürburgring. See the film of last year; when we did the same thing:

I am using a Gopro Hero 3 camera and the footage as shot is not at all steady. Youtube detects the instability and proposed to correct is for me. Is is not an wonderfull thing?

Louis. This is a great idea. Need to attend this and Goodwood asap. I paid a visit to Zandvoort some years go when there were no racing cars on the track. To see real race cars with real race car sound will be quite a Dutch treat. Thank you.

So many beautiful cars, so little money :'(

Thanks, Louis. Brilliant footage of a brilliant day!

Zandvoort was one of my favourite tracks but now I have mixed feelings about it - Tarzan, Villeneuve on 3 wheels, etc, but 1973 and Williamson's death is etched in my memory.

Great stuff, but your last image is a very good illustration of why twerps rudely sticking GoPros and mobile phones in front of everyone else are spoiling image-making opportunities for photographers with real cameras.

Just sayin'...
