Thanks for the party last night boys, and girl. It was great to see the creative wheels behind this site as well as fellow fans like me. I'm off to the track now and to watch some cars.

HELLO LISTENERS!

Greetings from the track, at the AT&T booh, sneaking to write to you & say, I am LOVNG it here. Meeting the listeners & got recognized today.  It is awfully hot, however & as I am used to the Cali Coast ocean breezes & fog, I am suffering.
But as CFD_Racer says, "There's no crying in racing."
It's Quali today, mes anges, tres bonne!
Sweatily Yours,
Desiree

RE: LIVE at INDY
It was so hot today, I almost cried! The dinner was awesome, really big turnout I thought! Wow Mr. and Mrs. Lephturn, Chris and Dad, and the others listeners I met are such great people! Clark, Yahoo Ads, Desiree, the real first lady of F1, Le Nasir, The producer formerly known as Dave, the whole crew is totally awesome! I don't think my friends are liking that I'm kinda ditching them a little, but they didn't get to the track until Q2! No way I'd have any of that.

Bravissimi! to the F1 Weekly guys and gal. I think I need to bathe in aloe vera lotion now.... Cool

Clark just uploaded some more pictures to the gallery page. We have too many to upload them all. Plus more pictures from the F1weekly party.

We missed you Cosmoose at the party.

Also wanted to say hi to the several listeners that we ran into at the track today.

Hi Listeners,

I am exhausted, but happy (well I could be happier if Kimi boy placed higher).Tongue
CFD_Racer, you hung tough honey,Cool and we are your friends now, you don't need the others- LOL J/K.
Kudos to Lewie, Lew-eye for getting his 2nd Pole!Big Grin
I don't think King Nando was too happy...Sad

What was interesting (from the brief bits I was able to hear from scrouging off others earbuds), was hearing the non-English speaking drivers in the post-quali interview speak in their native tongues.  Felipe sounded less creepy in Portuguese, his lisp blended in better. Fernando sounded muy macho too. Rolleyes

We went to the IMS Museum & paid homage to the great ones, as long as my feet could stand.

Then we recorded the podcast material, work-work-work; then we got to rest & to the pool & spa for therapy.

Better rest up for the USGP!!

Racily yours,
Desiree

Ok everyone it's race day. Clark went down to the track really early. He is in full race day mode. The rest of us are leaving now. Hope it's a great race, see you when we get back.

We are sitting in the Paddock Penthouse across the Renault garage (clark picked the tickets)

RE: LIVE at INDY
Hi Listeners!

Desiree here, live from trackside, w/the drivers parade about to begin on this sunny dayy.
I missed the parade perviusly when i was in Montreal, so this will be my first.
I already saw Jarno Trulli driving on his Harley right next to me on the street. Bella!

I also grabbed an interview w/the cameraman for SPEED TV's Peter Windsor who accompanies him on the grid & around the world-Jean Michel is his name. He's been an F1 cameraman/photog for 11 years & had some inside comments. (Have to tell you, he is un homme, tres manifique-HOT!)

Better get off the AT&T PC & walk the 20 ft to the track to try & get some shots of the pilots!

Yours in racing,
Desiree

Not really, the racing isn't really that impressive.

According to an interview by Premiere, Bernie has said Indy is ok for the future, providing one problem is solved by the owners of the circuit. I watched the interview. Bernie seem to hint it was an advertising problem.

RE: LIVE at INDY
I wonder if the new track layout they proposed for Moto GP would have anything to do with it? They were saying there would be a fly-over and chicane instead of turn 13, might be interesting for F1 as well.

It is Clark's fault. Bernie is still pissed off about the whole F1Weekly thing.

Thanks a lot, Clark.

Way to F up the party for the rest of us.

RE: LIVE at INDY
It was fun, during the actual race it wasn't as hot as the previous days which helped. The seats where cool, but someone spilt water/beer all over the ground right in my seat area. Arghhh. I had to place my backpack with Steve and Clark and the floor made my shoes all sticky. By the way, I was sitting next to Desiree which had to deal with the same floor problem.

The actual race was awesome, I didn't have a scanner or the little TV device (which Steve rented) but I still followed the action. Alonso trying to pass Hamilton was memorable. The merchadise was way to expensive, and the food was so-so. Thanks to Will from MyTriviaPodcast for dropping by our seats and bringing us beer. Overall 8 out 10 for the weekend. We could have parked closer. Sad
