instead of 10th place - pick the number of cars that will make it to the end of the race

RE: 2014 Prediction Competition.
Same rules as last year then:

You are predicting for each race:-

Pole Position = 3 points.
Podium = Driver on the podium =1 point
Driver in correct place on the podium = 3 points.
All three podium places correct = additional 6 bonus points.
Fastest Lap = 3 points.
10th Place = 3 points.

The picks need to be sent by PM to me before start of Friday practice (or Thursday in the case of Monaco).

If you fail to get fresh picks in by the deadline, the last races picks will be rolled over.

Results are tracked on a spreadsheet supplied by the head of the F1Weekly Canadian office and Spreadsheet Department (Chemics).

I hope the JJ & LL wedding photo's come out soon as I need fresh photoshop material.

RE: 2014 Prediction Competition.
Great, I'm in.

It's looking like our 'v', 'e' and 't' keys may be getting a bit less wear and tear this season, at least early on.

From Saward on today's results at the Bahrain test:

"Vettel suffered an electrical problem on his first lap out of the pits. The problem was solved and he went for a second run but the car stopped in the pit lane. The team then discovered a leak but there was not enough time to fix before the test ended."

I really can't believe this is happening.

Mark

RE: 2014 Prediction Competition.
I suppose if we wanted to add predictions that were relevant to this season we could go for the number of Mercedes-, Renault- and Ferrari-powered finishers, but on the whole I think we should stick with Peter's decision.

Mark

If no one is classified as 10th then any answer other than no one would be wrong...

RE: 2014 Prediction Competition.
So, for some pre-season-opening questions:

- which race will Seb win first?
- will Ricciardo out-qualify Seb on any occasion other than due to car failure?
- will McLaren win a race this year?
- will Williams/Sauber/FI win a race this year?
- the relative quali and race performances of LCH and Britney.
- will anyone complete all the races? Who?

Mark

some pre-season-opening answers

- which race will Seb win first?
The race to join Nascar (hey, I can dream)
- will Ricciardo out-qualify Seb on any occasion other than due to car failure?
Unfortunately not.
- will McLaren win a race this year?
Yes, loads, Jenson mostly, of course.
- will Williams/Sauber/FI win a race this year?
Yes, No, won't survive the season as both owners will be in jail
- the relative quali and race performances of LCH and Britney.
49/51, respectively, just enough to rub it in more.
- will anyone complete all the races? Who?
Hahahah you're 'avin a laugh!

RE: 2014 Prediction Competition.
Well it won't this year.

If i remember rightly I won the original competition. I generally find people on this forum highly predictable and I pride myself as being a cut above the rest.

Koala its unlikely you will finish in the top 5. If you do it will be because you are begging me for hints.

I think so, nobody would cheat to do that badly year after year.

I'm in.

My wild guess is sent. It's actually nice to go into the first race with no idea what's going to happen rather than having every chance of getting 2 of the podium and pole right with little thought.
