rally america lands a tv deal

very exciting news. i think i'd actually prefer the youtube coverage they had last year, because it was so immediate, but this is very good for the series. they have had trouble keeping talent and sponsors because of the lack of media coverage. i was worried that rallycross would run stage rally out of existence, but this should provide a breath of new life.

I hope it leads to some WRC coverage as well, rally really needs to get a TV audience if it's going to have a resurgence.

RE: rally america lands a tv deal
NBC Sports is really stepping up when it finds an opportunity to show some motorsports (probably doesn't hurt that Travis Pastrana is racing the series for 2014). Glad they are filling the void in the US. I'd like to see some WRC coverage as well in the States, so I'm also hoping this is the first stepping stone.

what concerns me is that nbc sports is also picking up nascar after next year. i hope they don't ever figure out that a trio of rednecks analyzing nascar practice times gets better ratings than actual racing of any other kind.

True...nothing irritated me more than Speed showing hours of Nascar "pregame" when there were a lot of other series that were actually racing and getting zero coverage.
