No V6 in 2014?
Bernie doesn't want them.

Wonder if there is a part of the Concorde Agreement given only to Ferrari and stipulating that they can keep the V8's. If not, I wonder why Bernie cares or what his goal is making that statement.

There's a reason for him saying this. I can't work out what it is but he never makes statements like this without there being a reason.

RE: No V6 in 2014?
i would guess a basic divide and conquer; creating a rift between the manufacturers and the privateers so they aren't a united front in negotiations.

I seem to remember that we had fours before, never mind V6s, and the world didn't come to an end.

and we've had that conversation before, there are some clips of sounds of the BMW 4's and Renault 6's somewhere. The V6 will sound better than the current screaming things.

Same story, different interpretation. The extra quotes from Bernie make it clear that he is having a serious go at Todt and the FIA. He wants something, probably for the flotation and sell off of CVC's shares. The engine issue is just a blind covering the smoke screen.

RE: No V6 in 2014?
There is no way the V6's are going away, there are already hundreds of millions spent on their development.

It was funny seeing this the day after Hammy's move to Mercedes was announced. The new engine rules are one of the main reasons I have seen for the move being a good idea.
