Anyone in Tampa?
I just moved from Richmond, VA to Tampa, FL.

Anyone on the forum a Tampa native?

RE: Anyone in Tampa?
Nope, but I have been there (which won't come as a surprise to some of my forum co-members).

Some years ago we had a great family holiday in a beach-side wooden house on Anna Maria Island just south of you - what a lovely place. I'm told it's a bit like Florida used to be, right down to the turtles nesting on the beach...

Sarasota and Bradenton are really nice as well.

RE: Anyone in Tampa?
You could bring google down by filling in the "where I have visited" on google maps. It would overload their servers.

Yeah, and I'm about to add another cross on the map.

That's an idea for a game next off-season, try and find places where the Dr. hasn't been yet!

We've already done that (and I'd only been to something like 1.6% more countries than The Good Mr Brazier).

And 90% of mine were for work, bringing money back to the UK so we could pay tax on it so..... well you know the rest.
I hope Cyan wasn't expecting this thread to go seriously!

I guess the direction the thread took is an answer in itself. Also, we are keeping the thread alive so a late comer or new user who might be from Tampa will see it. Isn't that nice of us?

RE: Anyone in Tampa?
Looks like the poor fellow's out there all on his lonesome.

BTW it was while driving to Tampa and idly flicking through the rental car's radio dial that I first heard Tom and Ray's NPR show (alias The Tappet Brothers, on Car Talk). For years after I'd record their shows with Replay Radio over the web - it's all a lot easier now with podcasts.

So, is there still nobody there?

Regards,
Mark
