RE: ITV online Feeds
Both Flash rehashes of the ITV feed:

http://pic.mellbimbo.hu/files/simulcastPlayer.swf
http://www.soccer-live.pl/ITVF1/f1player.php

seem to be having buffering / replay issues.

On the other hand, there are some new comers on justin.tv, including an ITV rebroadcast:

http://www.justin.tv/atomic_napalm

(There are a couple of others in various other languages. Check http://www.justin.tv/search?q=formula+1&...adcasters)

I'll say one thing for this particular ITV pass-through: at least the Northern Irish commercials are funny at least half the time!

http://www.justin.tv/live24xtra/ is also online (I guess not quite all of this accounts were blocked, or this is a new creation), and showing the same commercial-free South African feed from before.

RE: ITV online Feeds
Holy crap, practice starts in 45 minutes, and I just finished listening to the last podcast. Stay tuned for an edit with what's live shortly... To whit:

Both appear to be Like Usual:

http://pic.mellbimbo.hu/files/simulcastPlayer.swf
http://www.soccer-live.pl/ITVF1/f1player.php now redirects to http://www.soccer-live.pl/ITVF1/formulajeden.php (I'm not sure what language "jeden" is; it's not Portuguese, Dutch, or German, which were my top three guesses, doubting the first heavily except for the ccTLD and accepting that my vocab ain't what it used to be on the third, but I presume it means, um, "player").

http://www.justin.tv/search?q=formula+1&...oadcasters has some options, as usual. http://www.justin.tv/redboosd and http://www.justin.tv/lucasm14 are plausible English language choices.

http://www.justin.tv/ltvn4/ is online, but expected content is unclear. Worth a check on race day, at least.

http://www.justin.tv/atomic_napalm went private, which means you should ask for an access code. I haven't, and I encourage you all to respect the privacy thing and not ask for your own.

Edit: rather, I encourage you to respect the privacy and NOT POST IT IF you ask for your own.

Nuked by the censors: http://www.justin.tv/live24xtra/ http://www.justin.tv/live24_xtra/ http://www.justin.tv/live24/ http://www.justin.tv/live24_1/ http://www.justin.tv/live24_2/ ... you get the picture. Some version of that may show up on race day, feel free to poke around and let us know.

http://www.justin.tv/linchins -- won't be English commentary, but it's close to live timing for practice.

Edit: Ugh, but the quality is TERRIBLE.

So which feed worked best? I think I'll be able to catch FP3 tonight after work.

RE: ITV online Feeds
FYI - in case anyone else is out there grabbing the gr-supplied feeds, here's the schedule.

Japan Schedule Eastern (Pacific)
Friday 10pm (6pm) - FP3
Saturday 1am (Friday 10 pm) - Quali
Sunday Midnight (Saturday 9pm) - Race
This race starts at 12:30 - its one of those odd ones that doesn't start on the hour.

Nobody actually broadcasts FP3, so you'll have to stay up for qualies.

If you can accept the lag behind the live timing, go with either of the embedded flash versions, http://pic.mellbimbo.hu/files/simulcastPlayer.swf or
http://www.soccer-live.pl/ITVF1/f1player.php. The only difference between the two is that the former fills a browser window and the latter has a "make full screen" option.

RE: ITV online Feeds
Why is it no one broadcasts that. Must be a licensing issue. Some investigation is needed.

I think you might get them if you have the pay TV F1 coverage... or is Bernie not doing that anymore?

Not that I am aware of. Not much of a hook though, Pay extra just for the most uneventful session.

No - it was pay extra and get all sessions with the ability to scroll between the all in car footage, race feed, and midpack battles channels. Of course at Valencia, those 3 channels would all be showing the same thing.

RE: ITV online Feeds
I used to pay for that when it was broadcast on satellite here in the UK. It was excellent coverage. BBC are talking about doing all that in HD digital. It will be fantastic.

Here in the US, we have to pray that they don't take away our F1 TV coverage now that we don't have any GPs. I hope that the BBC will have some sort of online feed because I much prefer ITV (commercial free from South Africa, of course) to Speed TV, although both sets of commentators are totally in the tank for Lewis.

RE: ITV online Feeds
The Lewis Love in is an unfortunate price to pay.

I'm sure the way things are going there will be more and more on line activity. Start of this season there was nothing and now look at it. I've played with pushing my TV signal out using Skype and Justin but my broadband isn't fast enough. I thought if I did it privately using skype or a private channel somewhere it wouln't get squashed.

By the start of next season we should have a uber fast connection at my office and I'll see about setting up a F1W exclusive.

RE: ITV online Feeds
For the first time I can recall we are getting Quali live for the Japanese race (only problem is I have to take the kids to a movie this afternoon).  The race on Sunday is mid afternoon here - a far more civilised time than I am used to.

Don't forget if the normal "swf" & "Justin" feeds are down there are still the TVU and Sopcast options

RE: ITV online Feeds
Hi guys,
i was a little  bit nerved of using a proxy or searching ner swf links for watching the ITV Live Stream. Well i can watch F1 in TV too, but there is advertisement and i like the ITV commentators more than the german...
Well i took that swf file called "simulcastPlayer" and extracted the direct Stream link from the Source Code:
Code:
rtmp://itvbrdbnd.fc.llnwd.net/itvbrdbnd/_definst_/livestream

By using "Appilan FLV Player" and this URL you will be able to watch F1 without Proxy or SWF-Server and it's also possible to capture the stream.

Let's see when ITV blocks this way to watch, maybe they will just use another URL...

Have Fun on Fuji GP

Nice one Chris

I have downloaded the player from the site http://www.applian.com/flvplayer/downloa...ayer.php   installed it - loaded in the address and it brought the screen for the ITV feed up so with luck it looks like I am good to go with a trial this afternoon

Out of interest how did you work out the address rtmp://itvbrdbnd.fc.llnwd.net/itvbrdbnd/_definst_/livestream   from the source code?
