Came on as promised and looked great - the word is they are going to run the races live for the rest of the year -- one can only hope

Nasir Wrote:Coresworld, love the hour long pre-race show and full length interviews. It was interesting to hear Norbert Haug say to Lewis 'it was a mistake.' They got away with it this time.

I tried to get it working for quali an the pre race coverage before our TV coverage started -- but it would not link it - "perhaps it was running out of puff before it got all the way down here" Cool

RE: ITV online Feeds
Not on local TV at this stage - we are lucky they are finally showing the races live (at least for the moment).

We have just had our telephone exchange upgraded so I was able to upgrade my internet today at a cost of an extra $10 per month and am now supposed to be able to get a potential speed of up to 24,000 kilobites which is an improvement on the previous 512k I had previously - though they will only guarantee 8,000 k.

That should be more than enough to get either Sopcast or TVU running properly to allow me to see quali if the SWF sites for the ITV feed are not running -- 512k was totally inadequate for Sopcast/TVU and it was like watching a slide show.

I just have to wait until the 1 August for the new speed to take effect.

Next race is Hungary, which obviously means no Martin Bundle.

Damon Hill coming back to do another years annual service?

I would like to hear Ben Edwards. A test for next year and to expose the Cock for the cock he is.

It may be Ant of course.

But it's about 10 minutes behind the live timing screens, pity about that.

RE: ITV online Feeds
For the races the feed is usually only about 40 seconds behind -- perhaps the delay might be associated with getting around the ITV IP  wall, though if Yaaay is using the genuine direct ITV feed being based in the UK that would not be affected

These 2 feeds are working for Quali

http://bilmosk.org/simulcastPlayer.swf

http://www.soccer-live.pl/ITVF1/f1player.php

The second appears to be about 5 sec ahead of the first one and slightly better quality

According to Yaaay about 30-40 secs behind the TV coverage

Seems to get longer through the show. After Q1 the delay was up to 50 seconds and by Q3 it was 52 seconds.

RE: ITV online Feeds
I thought it might be worthwhile to repost the following in this thread given it is relevant to the topic (it was originally posted in "A cry for help" Thread).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are  number of options for race feeds

P2P Options

Tvu - (wheels Channel) - http://www.tvunetworks.com/

or

Sopcast (Star Sports Channel) http://www.sopcast.org/

I have found these can be somewhat patchy and you certainly need a internet speed of over 512K. I haven't tried them since I upped my Internet speed in the last week or so - they may be better with a faster download speed

This site lists some other options though they are not all in English http://www.myp2p.eu/index.php?part=sports (click on the Motorsports link)  the options seem to come up on race day

SWF Options

I have found these to be the best options and are basically a recast of the ITV internet feed which get around the ITV IP restrictions -- they change regularly as ITV close them out - some that have worked recently are

http://bilmosk.org/simulcastPlayer.swf (used for Practice 1 & 2 Hungary)
http://www.soccer-live.pl/ITVF1/f1player.php (Used for Quali Hungary)
http://stream.ra1kkonen.com/simulcastPlayer_02.swf
http://bilmosk.org/simulcastPlayer.swf
http://www.f1stream.co.nr/

Remember these channels only work when the ITV feed is running as they are essentially a rebroadcast of the ITV feed.

Sometimes if they do not work straight away a couple of refresh hits can get them working but sometimes they don't  - they are less problematic for practice / quali - I assume as less people are trying to use them. There are a number of others that worked earlier in the year that no longer work

Coresworld also updates some options and has a feed that can suggest options sometimes just before the race race when people are hunting around http://www.coresworld.net/F1/

I think the most reliable feed at the moment is:

http://www.justin.tv/bluesking40

This seems to be a feed from the ITV TV channel not quite the quality of the other SWF feeds but still watchable.

I am monitoring a few other forums with  threads that discuss Internet feeds so hopefully I can pick up the new ones that come along.

I will update this thread with the feeds I find working for Quali / the races that are time zone friendly for Australia - e.g. Brazil will definitely be off the agenda.
