I downloaded the stream player from here (as suggested by Tricky some time ago).

http://www.coresworld.net/F1/

It was the BBC, was good quality and worked well - basically you download the various bits go to the "english" tab and click on BBC1 - I only watch it for the pre race and during the adverts on our local coverage but it worked well - one thing is that occasionally is you click on the link (during the race I only open it during the adverts) it says the URL is incorrect - I found if you closed everything down and went back in this fixed itself.

I have run a variety of spyware/malware checkers and everything has come up clean so I do not think that there is a problem with downloading the player

Thanks for the indepth review - I myself was worried about any risks it might pose to my PC

Problem is I could not get it to work this weekend - didn't spend much time on it - will have a closer look at why it is not working sometime this week hopefully

RE: Online Feeds
I used to have a site that posted the British cast, but that was taken down by the Feds. Since then I've had to rely on DVR recording from Speed TV - so many commercials - it's grueling!

It's quite nice with no commentary, it's the first time I have watched any on-line feeds to be honest.

was the speedtv stream working for qualy? or the race? It just played an endless "stream starting soon" loop.

RE: Online Feeds
TD, I've been silent in this thread for a while for... complicated reasons. But I've got nothing for Sky coverage.

Which Sky package do you have? If you have access through their web page, rather than through your own locked-in TV box, and you'd care to help, drop me a line.

RE: Online Feeds
Unfortunately I've got the SD Sky package via Virgin Cable, and that doesn't allow anything other than a Slingbox, as far as I can see. I don't have an SB and, although I've vaguely considered one for other reasons, I can't really justify the cost (plus I'd need to run a network cable halfway across the house to connect to the hub).

You need to find someone with a native Sky satellite subscription who's prepared to (stealth mode=On) let you have one of their mobile device codes. Actually I think that's perfectly legal and you wouldn't need a UK proxy as far as I know. I have asked round at work if anyone's not using one of their codes, but haven't found anyone who isn't giving access to their family or already to mates across the Globe for assorted sports access Sad

Regards,
Mark

RE: Online Feeds
I've not got access to sky this week so I will be experimenting with BBC coverage.

I'm hoping to 'lie in' until the qualification coverage starts at 1pm UK Time.

what i was wondering is if any clever people upload torrents of sky coverage directly after the event. would be great.

Yaaay how do you watch RTL

http://www.tvkorner.com/ is good for Canada 2012 (just, on the front page: no clicking beyond making the ads go away)
and http://www.vipbox.tv/watch/32669/1/sky-f...nline.html has been in and out, but has better-quality video
