ITV online Feeds

Clark mentioned in the latest podcast that he was looking to watch the race on the ITV feed online. I thought it would be useful to share these links in one given place.

When I first set Koala up with the feed I was not expecting much, normally these things are crappy and choppy. What we have found is that provided you have a solid internet connection, you can watch in relatively high quality without choppiness.

From time to time the guys at ITV seem to shut these down, but here are three feeds that are working, one has a larger screen size. Credit to Koala for finding these gems

I’ve said it somewhere else on the forum but I’d just like to say on behalf of Britain, sorry! Since ITV lost the rights they have provided an average service and don’t seem to care anymore. We now have more advert breaks and shorter coverage, I dread to think what this one will be like with Euro 08 going on. People like Martin Brundle are still brilliant though. Its just a shame the service has gone from Award winning to less then great.

RE: ITV online Feeds
I just tried to use these and It cut me off for not being a UK resident ! The last larger feed works fine.

I should point out to those wanting to watch US coverage online that this is the place to go... http://www.tvunetworks.com/

RE: ITV online Feeds
I watched using http://www.coresworld.net/F1/

I had my VPN on as I am "at work" and that makes me have an American IP address. It worked fine.

German GP Practice Day 1

Looks like at my end http://www.coresworld.net/F1/ is not working

i.e. says "Update July 2008: Looks like ITV has found the loophole and closed it Sad Was fun while it lasted"

There are a couple of other SWF options if I get one going for Practice 2 I will post it

RE: ITV online Feeds
Was not able to get any SWF feeds running for the 2nd practice today Reading on a couple of forums it appears ITV have upgraded the overseas IP stream blocking software on their feed - the consensus is that they will get around it but probably not before the German Race.

I can get Wheels up on TVU but it is too choppy to watch at my 512k internet speed.

Has anyone seen a SWF feed of the ITV feed runing for non UK IPs ?

RE: ITV online Feeds
Does anyone know of a site that does text updates during practice/qualifying? Either to a mobile or just a live ticker feed online that you can RSS. I want to know what is going on at practice and quali when I am working.

Yes - I am all excited  [Image: 5mbzpd.gif]

We have gone from 2-3 hour minimum delays - to live coverage on the Telecasters HD channel no less.

At the moment our TV stations are running 3 channels, the old analogue, digitial and HD -- they are generally running alternative programming on the HD channel as not everything is HD -- apparently unknown to me they ran the British GP live on the HD channel -- I was lucky enough to notice that the German GP is slated to be run live on the HD channel.

Certainly beats the alternative that Yaaay had kindly offered of a web cam over skype of a feed on his computer

I shall report on the HD F1 experience in due course.

I am monitoring a few forums that report of SWF feed so when they get them working again I will post the links in this thread - given the track record of our F1 telecaster there is no guarantee they will run races live on the HD channel all year.

Oh I see, you talk for pleasure! Yaaay abuses by extensive knowledge about just about anything to plan his life. For example I was forced to reveal the nearest London station to a designated area. I don't have pleasant chats with Yaaaay, all he does is abuses me and my cooking Sad

Yes that will be great, don't give up on the cause just because you are no longer in need! I hope that other forum members who are trying to watch qualifying later will reveal their experiences.

I would have thought the MOD would have trained you better than to give up sensitive strategic locations and access routes after only a little bit of verbal abuse.

Coresworld, love the hour long pre-race show and full length interviews. It was interesting to hear Norbert Haug say to Lewis 'it was a mistake.' They got away with it this time.
