Cars and Coffee
Hi Guys:

On Saturday, one of our local cars and coffee gatherings made national news when a woman backed her Mercedes into a Ferrari 458 Speciale.

Here is a shot of her car. I threw in a photo of my old Ferrari at the same place from a few years ago, too (just because I miss it).

RE: Cars and Coffee
looks like it was more than just a gentle nudge. I'm suspecting the old Merc fared better than the 458

RE: Cars and Coffee
Ours wasn't that exciting - but we had a good cross section - including Morgan's Ferraris, McLarens, I8's. The only incident was some old fart in a Vantage doing a burnout (poorly)

RE: Cars and Coffee
Nearby is a small auto repair shop that only works on older cars- mostly driven and not showroom quality. I stopped by the other day to see what was sitting outside. It looks like it was a Buick day. My dad loves big old American luxury autos, and back in the '80s, he once owned a plush fully-loaded Buick Electra.

"David Buick, born in Scotland Sept. 17, 1854, and brought to the United States at age 2, had been a successful plumbing inventor and manufacturer in Detroit when he turned his attention to gasoline engines in the late 1890s. Buick Motor Division, came into being in 1903. Louis Chevrolet, co-founder with Durant of the Chevrolet automobile, had earlier achieved fame as a Buick race team driver and helped launch the Buick into production.

Buicks from the start had side-vented engine covers. Later, Buick replaced the vents with functional side ports. Later, only decorative, the side ports remained as a distinction of the Buick marque which has been a trademark feature every year of production to this day." The last photo is stock of a 2017 Buick- to show the port.

I just had to stop and get a picture of this home-made thing with 3 wheels. Two nearby corvettes were for sale at $10K each.

I bet there's a Reliant under there. Looks to similar to a Bond Bug to be a coincidence.

Good catch! I never saw (or heard of) a Bond Bug. It sure looks like a Bond Bug from that web link you posted. I guess that long front bumper was probably a result of '70s American federalization.

Here's a picture of the interior and VIN plate.

Should be easy to see underneath it once it flips over.
