Hello everyone from the Indy. Clark, Steve and I have just arrived and are settling in our rooms. We are going to head out to the track and then to pick up some beer.
aren't you setting your priorities wrong???? Smile
No SH!T, I looked up to you guys as true racefans. You need to pick up the beer on the way to the track.
Well scout everything out for us, we'll see you Friday night!

Question, what are the seats like in the NorthWest Vista area? Concrete benches? Aluminum benches? Padding? Back rest? Arm rest? We're trying to decide if we should drag our clip-on seats (backrest and arms with some cushion) or if it would be a waste of time. We're in NW Vista section 6 row X seat 15/16. If you can give us a heads up, that would be great.

Taking my digital camera so I'll be doing some pictures and little videos that we can upload! Smile
It's aluminum benches, no backrest or padding or arm rest. Just a place to put your bum. And a wonderful view of the track.

I'm in NW vista section 2.
I believe Autoracer5 is in section 1.
Ok, we are back in the hotel after dinner. We had some pretty good Mexican food tonight. Bought lots of beer and coolers to bring with us tomorrow. Not much activity at the track, everyone was still setting up. Not many campers or trailers yet. We did speak to a Ferrari fan from Salt Lake City, he was on the plane with us. Of course Clark had his Renault hat on. Evil looks followed.
It's a bit warm here...in the 90's... Reaching for an ice cold Stella Artois! and beer is cheap here I love it. Paddock walk first thing in the morning will try to get some interviews and great pics.
Guzzzle Guzzzle Guzzzle aaaahhhh!
Ok the start of Day2. We are getting ready for the paddock walk. Tons of pictures will be taken, check the gallery page for updates later today. Plus Desiree joins us after lunch.
Almost feel as if I was there...........instead of thousands of miles away on the otherside of the pond.
They are talking about a hot and dry weekend, in the low 90's. Pack a bottle of water or 2 to go along with the fosters.
I'll be at Indy on Sat and Sun. Hope to see you all there!
Ok the Speed Channel broadcast is a mess. We pushed our way to the front, then there where delays. We moved out to grab food, then the Spyker drivers came out got some pictures. Toyota was next, but all of a sudden they announced that they are stopping the show for over an hour. So we left to get Desiree at the hotel, rest and go back to catch the end of the Speed Driver Interviews.
Some more pictures updated to the gallery page, with tons more to come.
Good stuff, guys.

Wish I was there... Go to Hell... Jealous... etc... etc...
Which one is Mrs. Rogers? Tongue

Clark! Untuck that shirt.
Yeah... Because grid girls just love posing with an unkempt, disheveled-looking, buffoon.

Work it, Clark.
I just thought he looked slightly camp!

He looks like the girls have just spanked his ass.
Ok we are back from the track with more pictures. We did however miss Lewis Hamilton's Speed Interview. Heard he had the biggest turn-out of all the drivers.

We are now going to chill out before heading to dinner downtown somewhere.

More pictures will be updated today.
Hi Listeners

I made it to Indy...but a la Desiree style, due to my non-love of flying, I had half a Valiun & a Bourbon & Coke on the red-eye flight...once at my layover in ATL, I got breakfast w/ grits mmm, mmmm...went to my gate 2 hours early & FELL ASLEEP! I was able to get the next flight out luckily & made it to the hotel.

We didn't get back to the track in time to hear SPEED interview Lewis-damn! But from what people say-he was charismatic as heck. So he's good both on & off track.

We did get to see D.C. (foxy) & Webbah get interviewed.

It is BLOODY HOT! I am glistenning.

Any listeners that are in or going to Indy PM me your digits (phone numbers) and you'll get a call from yours truly or one of the gang.

Bye for now, La DWink

oh my! I'm surprised that gate agent didn't come over to awake you. Getting stranded at Hartsfield ranks up there as one of the true nightmares of travel.

I think Super Aguri drivers received the biggest applause.
Timo Glock was interviewed in place of Kubica. Still uncertain who will drive the second BMW Sauber car.

Each team's drivers were interviewed in pairs....even Kimi and Felipe.
However, Hammy and Alonso had separate interviews. Hmmm.

There was a question from the audience for Lewis and first thing Lewis said was why was she wearing Ferrari hat! Tongue

All the drivers were quite relaxed and funny. Totally opposite of the scripted and pc answers we see from official F1 interviews.

3 hour interview show from Speed will be repeated tonight at midnight.
Damn if I didn't miss everyone at the hotel. You all must be out getting some grub and I'm sitting here drinking beer.

Wait a minute, I'm not doing bad at all. Smile CHeers!

[waiting for the gang at the hotel]
Totally Psyched!! I haven't heard an F1 engine in a few years!! And I can't wait to meet the crew. I'm actually in the Holiday Inn Select also. But I'm going to bed early, I don't want to miss a single second of tomorrow morning!
Sorry we missed some of you at the hotel. We had dinner downtown at Claddagh Irish Pub

Who was that extra guy? Picture jumper?
That looks like a proper beer. Guinness.

Des, you should have told me you had a layover in ATL. I'd have taken you to Waffle House.
