I'm going head down on Saturday afternoon and see how it looks from the tip of Manhattan. Maybe ride the Staten Island Ferry a few times to get a closer look for free.

red bull soap box derby and crashed ice are the only events i'd be interested in from them. airplanes don't do it for me.

Although not a motorsport, the Flugtag (http://www.redbullflugtagusa.com/) is pretty silly, but worthwhile for a couple hours in the afternoon.

Flugtaging into the hudson river will make you sick. I think you have to have a tetanus shot.
