One day during the summer, a man approached me at the gym after noticing my Michael Schumacher shirt. Gentleman was a big Formula 1 fan, and we were both surprised there were two F1 fans in the gym here in North Carolina. Turns out the guy is Craig Stone, who drove a mazda in the Grand Am series last year. (well, at least until they lost their sponsorship).

I ran into him again last week. He was all smiles about Schumacher returning and driving for Mercedes. Then he told me some very good news. He will be driving a camero in the Koni series for Stevenson Motorsports. He's going to Daytona for testing next week. His partner is going to be Jan Magnussen. How cool is that?
pretty cool Smile
Even cooler if he can get you paddock passes for your local races. I'd offer to sweep the garage floor to get on the team for a free pass.
Let him know there is another F1 fan in Raleigh.
need to clarify something. Mr Stone is only testing with Jan Magnussen. Magnussen will be racing in the Grand Am series, Craig Stone in the Koni Series (which I think has been re-named)
Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series is the new name for Koni. And...24 Hours of Daytona just around the corner!

That has me wondering how many of the Continental Challenge series drivers, crew members and officials will be singing "The Continental" before the first race of the season. Big Grin
