The new Formula Nippon Cars are being produced by the California based Swift Engineering.  They are highly stylized and have very "fluid" lines.  The car will produce 30% more downforce then the current Lola chassis and will be powered by 600Bhp 3.4L Honda and Toyota V8s.  Carbon-ceramic brakes will also be introduced into the series for the first time in 2009.

The cars feature a "bridge" type 2 element front wing, and rear body work similar to that of the Panoz-DP01 with a stylized rear wing.  According to Swift the new rear wing has produces less wake (dirty air) behind the car, and combined with the innovative front wing passing should be easier.  I guess we'll see.

That's one fantastic looking car!
The blue and white car in the background looks sweet, but I can do without the sunflowers.
That sunflower one is right out of the chemical induced sixties.
It's shameful that the Nippon car looks lower, meaner, and faster than current F1 cars. Sad
It wasn't designed by a committee - oops - sorry I meant a working group
That black car looks bad-ass. And has a proper rear wing too!
